The “Le Pietre Ricce” Bed & Breakfast, comfortable building in locals ton lately rearranged, is placed in the typical environment of the “curly stones” of Roccamontepiano (Chieti – Abruzzo - Italy) at the number 131, Roma street - locality St. Rocco at the foot of the Maiella National Park. The accommodation facility on the ground floor is composed by:
- n°4 rooms with the means to arrange single beds, double beds, triple beds, ecc.;
- n°2 shared bathrooms;
- n°1 living room-kitchen with rustic fireplace.
At the first flat there is another useful accommodation facility, composed by:
- n°4 rooms with the means to arrange single beds, double beds, triple beds, ecc.;
- n°1 shared bathroom;
- n°1 living room-kitchen.
Other services: outdoor barbecue, wide sunroof useful as solarium, wide parking for cars, campers and roulettes.

Roccamontepiano is only 20 kilometres far from the sea (Francavilla and Pescara), 15 kilometres from the mountain (Maiella height 1350 m.), 20 kilometres from Chieti and its territorial district offers ample possibility choosing between two kind of tourism:
Natural: vegetation and zoology in the National Park of Maiella, centennial woods, chines, murelle, mouths, gorges, caves, spring waters, Alento river, sheep tracks, touring courses, Montepiano, equipped areas, pic-nic areas and panoramic point of view.
Historical-Architectonic-Religious: museums, theatres, galleries, exhibitions, excavations and Roman temples, archaeologic sites, hermitages (Saint Onofrio and Saint Bartolomeo), churches (you have to visit the Saint Face’s sanctuary and the Saint Camillo De Lellis’s relic), Saint Liberatore a Maiella’s medieval abbey, convent Saint Francesco Caracciolo, towers, castles, cottages, historical villages, raw earth houses and Saint Pietro’s walls.
Handmade: manufacturing of wrought iron, copper, ceramics, Maiella stone, textiles and laces, wood, wickers and the characteristic Roccamontepiano “curly stones”.
Eno-gastronomic: itinerant festivals with typical cooking of Abruzzo, production of wines among the Roccamontepiano delicious “Vino Cotto” (cooked wine). Restaurants and capacities (Brancaleone, Villa Corsi, Hostaria di Pomaro, Parco dei Carpini pub and L’Asilo hostel).

Roccamontepiano “The Garden of Maiella”
Roccamontepiano lies about 500 meters above the sea-level, extended at the foot of the travertine (calc-sinter) tableland of Montepiano. A village of about two thousand inhabitants, scattered on a very large territory gathered in a ten rural and historical quarters, far from each other some kilometres, of a myriad of houses colleted in centennial woods and among stones of Montepiano. A pleasant place, that every season of the year opens its own doors to the tourists. The tableland, the centennial woods, the huge lushness of spring waters, sheep tracks between hills in the vale and deep chines, make of this village a veritable “Garden of Maiella”.
